Getting Started
From our very first exchange of hellos, our experience goes to work in determining the most appropriate and best path to take for your new construction or remodeling project. If you are building new, reviewing your blueprints together is a great start. If you are remodeling, the most likely beginning point is meeting with our designer in your home for a consultation and accurate measuring. Once the scope of your project is determined, a visit to our showroom will allow us to help you navigate through the maze of choices that are available today in cabinetry and countertop materials and finishes.
Creating the Design
Now that the initial details have been gathered, your designer will then transfer the measurements of your project area into a scaled drawing to get a good handle on what your space will afford in terms of options in layout and design. Basic rough sketches will be developed that show different concepts that will be discussed in the next step.
Time to Take a Look
At this point, you will be contacted to set up a creative meeting to review these options and concepts, pick out the preferable ones, adapt the marginal ones, and toss the ones that just don’t really make the cut. We discuss products and services to also begin developing an initial proposal. After this meeting, we go to work to marry the ideas and selections together into a solid working plan that hopefully exceeds your expectations in design, quality, and value.
Plan in Motion
Once all the details are in place, we are ready to take a realistic time tested approach, using our generous list of resources, to cover all the components necessary to bring concept to reality. In the end, we will always be here to provide answers to any questions and provide support for all of your cabinetry needs. We believe it is because of the continuing care we provide to our new friends, that most of our business comes from client referrals. Meet the Designer

Kevin Healey has been crafting beauty and function into spaces for over 25 years. Specializing not only in kitchen and bath design, Kevin puts his space planning expertise to work in virtually any room of the home where life happens. Whether it’s a closet, entertainment center, or anything in between, Kevin has the seasoned talent to look objectively at the space and help make your dream a reality.

In 1994, Kevin founded The Kitchen Co. by taking an old condemned building and reclaimed it to be a Grand Haven community fixture and cabinetry showroom. Today, Kevin continues to transform spaces, bringing together ideas and craftsmen to homes in the West Michigan Area and beyond.
